Communication Solution for New Energy Storage Power Stations

Our solution is mainly composed of energy storage integrated products and EMS management software. According to customer requirements, we adopt Winsure Communication’s comprehensive communication solution to connect all parts of the energy network and build an integrated system. Details of energy storage system integration are as follows.

The core layer adopts Winsure wsCom3028 series Layer 3 industrial switches, and wsCom3010 series DIN-rail industrial switches are deployed in battery compartments to build a ring network for diverse collected signals. The switches support IEC 61850-3 management protocol and SV & GOOSE message traffic control, securing transmission of key GOOSE messages at energy storage stations. With the Winsure wsCom/TX-2T-16C communication manager, direct IEC 61850 communication is achieved among the station control layer, PCS and BMS. All data covering televiewing, telemetering, remote control, remote regulation and remote signaling is processed, then transmitted to the industrial Ethernet or uploaded to the cloud platform via 4G/5G wireless network.

Winsure Communication Technology Co., Ltd. took part in the construction of China’s first independent GWh-scale energy storage project — the 100MW wind-storage integration project at Xinjiang Santanghu invested by China Resources Power. The project has been successfully synchronized to the grid. As China’s largest energy storage project so far, it boasts great strategic significance and exemplary value.
